Thai For Table
As many of you may know, Thai massage is a 2,500 year ago body manipulation technique with origins coming from Indian traditions associated with yoga and ayurvedic principles. It is typically done on a mat on the floor allowing the therapist full use of his/her own body weight and also allowing maximum flexibility for the patient/client. However, this amazing modality can also be done on the table quite as easily utilizing many of the same forms and delivery. It can feel like a combination of intense stretching, acupressure, yoga, deep compression and shiatsu. It has excellent benefits for the entire body and greatly aides enhanced flexibility and circulation.
Other benefits of this highly engaging technique include:
-increased range of motion
-decrease in muscle pain and particularly muscle spasms
-improves postural alignment by elongating the muscles
